Village visitations have always been top priority for us because we understand the difficulties faced in coming to the hospitals for medical help.

This is what the Sub-Divisional Medical Officer Vunidawa Hosptital in Naitasiri Dr Kale Buinimasi said about how they try to help those living in the remote parts of Naitasiri to ensure they do not miss out on proper health services.

Dr Buinimasi said the distance and cost of transportation is another factor of why they had decided to carry out the visits to more than 20 villages.

She added as a result of the constant visits they have yet to see major health problems in the Naitasiri area.

Dr Buinimasi said the visits coincide with the school visits so they are able to cover a lot more ground and examine more people at the same time.
