There is a lot of talk about Jonah Lomu in hospital, meanwhile one of Fiji’s greatest sons in the rugby field, a former All Blacks and Counties Manukau winger Joeli Vidiri is also in hospital.

Vidiri is suffering from a disease that affects the kidney’s blood filter and is on dialysis three times a week.

For 10 years Vidiri is praying that like Lomu, he too will be blessed with a kidney transplant and is taking his health day by day and thanking divine intervention that he is still alive till today.

He played two tests for the All Blacks in 1998 and also won gold for New Zealand’s 7s rugby team at the Commonwealth Games.
