Video piracy has forced owner of South Pacific Recordings to open other businesses.
SPR Director, Ravindra Shankar Bhai Patel said video piracy has led to closure of all their video libraries around the country and he has recently started another business.

Meanwhile, the Suva City Council will not be renewing licenses for people to sell DVDs and music CDs on footpaths in Suva from next month. Spokesperson Jillian Hicks said Council has stopped issuing permits as they are trying to clear the streets.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri said they will work with the council to ensure people are not selling DVDs and CDs without a license. He adds people caught will be taken to task by SCC.
