The Fiji Sevens team will get the biggest bonus payout in the history of the game in the country after their memorable win in the Hong Kong Sevens.
Fiji Rugby Union CEO Manasa Baravilala said the actual amount of money to be given to each player is a confidential matter between the FRU and the contracted players.
The Hong Kong Sevens prize money was $177,000.
The team’s sponsor Digicel will also announce further plans shortly for the welcome home event for the team when they return from Japan next week.
Meanwhile in the Japan Sevens this week, Fiji will play France at 3.12pm in its first match this Saturday followed by the second pool match against Japan at 6.47pm and England at 10.09pm.
Cup quarter-finals start 1.28pm on Sunday, cup semi-finals start at 4.08pm and cup final will be played at 7.09pm on Sunday.
