A key member of the gutsiest Nadroga side of all time has implored the modern day team to carve out their own piece of history by carrying their battered and bruised bodies to the final hurdle of the BSP Farebrother Sullivan trophy challenge against Nadi this Saturday.

Former Nadroga rep and current national selector Dan Lobendhan said that the proud record of the team that kept the Farebrother for 9 years in a row is unlikely to be matched again.

Lobendhan believed the challengers facing coach Esala Nauga's boys are unlike those encountered by the team in the late 70's where they had a less number of teams challenging for the Farebrother.

He added that after last weekend's close 11-10 win against Naitasiri the Nadroga boys will have to polish up a few areas to keep the Farebrother this season.
