New Zealand based Fiji athlete Niko Verekauta has won a gold medal in the New Zealand National Athletics championship.
Verekauta finished first in the men's 400 metres final with a time of 46.74 seconds, his third fastest ever time.
He still stands a chance of qualifying to the Olympic Games in August.
