Fiji's top male athlete, Niko Verekauta, set a new Fiji National Record in the 200m, with a time of 21.05 seconds at the Capital Classic meet in Wellington yesterday.
Niko's time broke the previous National Record of 21.06 seconds set by Soloveni Koroi in 1998.
His previous best time of 21.26 seconds was set at the Pacific Games in Apia in September.
