Police Commissioner Esala Teleni is now having consultations with the Military's Legal Services Director to further proceed with the investigations in relation to the death of Nakelo villager, Nimilote Verebasaga.

Assistant Police Commissioner Crime, Nasir Ali confirms the Director of Public Prosecutions has returned Verebasaga's file to Police and has made certain recommendation's.

Ali could not reveal the recommendations made and only revealed that they are now waiting for the consultations to finish after which further steps will be taken.

Meanwhile, Military's spokesperson, Lt Col Mosese Tikoitoga refused to comment on the matter and only said talks were continuing.

It is alleged Verebasaga died in Military custody in December last year.
