Retailers have learnt some ways to reduce number of shoplifting and stock leakages in their stores.

Suva Retailers Association president, Himmat Lodhia said last week a seminar was organized in Suva where a trainer from New Zealand highlighted a number of measures that can be taken to curb this problem.

According to Lodhia, to recover the loss retailers sometimes increase prices of their goods.

Lodhia said retailers are now implementing measures to tackle shoplifters however due to some dishonest employees, they also confront the problem of stock leakages.

Lodhia added by employing more security officers and installing CCTV cameras, this problem can be tackled.
