Fiji Boxing Commission Director Malakai Veisamasama will fly out to New Zealand this morning to meet with Professional and Amateur Boxing stakeholders and will work with the New Zealand National Boxing Federation, on finding ways to improve the sport in Fiji.

Other teams that Veisamasama will meet with are the medical teams, promotional teams, cooperate boxing organizers, the referees and judges organizers, boxing strength and fitness experts, dieticians, trainers and promoters.

Veisamasama will start with observing the official weigh of Opeti Tagi before his fight tomorrow in Auckland.

Fiji’s number one ranked middleweight boxer Tagi has a chance to be ranked 15th under the World Boxing Organization.

Tagi will fight New Zealand Professional Boxing Association middleweight champion Gunnar Jackson tomorrow and if he wins, he will be ranked 15th under the WBO.
