The Lord gave his son to us as a gift and in return we should share our love with others as Christmas is a time for sharing.

These are the words of Head of Veilomani Boys Centre in Ba, Rev Sarwesh Singh who said this is exactly what they will do to celebrate Christmas.

Singh said they have invited all their neighbouring children tomorrow afternoon where they will sing Christmas carols for them, give them treats and provide them with Christmas gifts in shoe boxes.

He said this is also a way of thanking the community who helped them raise more than $9,000 during their open day earlier this year.

Singh said the Shoe box gifts are from the Samaritan Project Committee.
