The Minister for Local Government and Urban Development has issued a directive to all municipal councils aimed at good governance.
This comes after Lek Ram Vayeshnoi had issued a directive for the Suva City Council to clean up the city.
Vayeshnoi has written to all the councils about the misuse of council vehicles, resources and properties.
He said that there has been a history of municipal councils not taking care of the needs of ratepayers and he wants to ensure that there is greater service delivery to the people of Fiji.
