The Vatukoula 7s has kicked off with upsets after defending champions Red Rock were beaten by Vuda Blues 7-5 in a nail biting encounter this morning.
Red Rock went into this tournament with a group of unknown players after prominent reps like Peni Gaunimeke and Michael Nabuliwaqa decided to join other clubs.
Meanwhile Waimanu thrashed Uprising 17-0 while Ratu Filise defeated Wardens 12-10.
In other results Samurai Barracudas with veterans Nasoni Roko and Epeli Dranivasa beat Vio 10-0 while Marist 7s champions Army Green escaped a tough Hydro side by 21-7.
Warwick beat Nawaka 22-12 and Police led by Peni Gaunimeke, Sakenasa Aca and Waisale Dau beat Mala Young boys 22-7.
West Field Saunaka led by Pio Tuwai defeated Marist 7s giant killers Matana-kilagi 24-5.
