The England 7s Coach Ben Ryan has named star wing Tom Varndell and two Fijian players in his World Cup squad.

Isoa Damudamu, who scored the winning try in Wellington but missed the USA 7s because of injury, will be part of Ryan's final squad for the Rugby World Cup 7s tournament in Dubai next month while Joshua Drauniniu is also included in the training squad.

Drauniniu, who is a Royal Navy officer in London only played in the Dubai 7s last season and was ruled out because of injury but has made a dramatic recovery to be in contention for a spot in the England 7s team.

Ben Ryan has also named Tom Varndell, who last played for the England 7s team in the 2006 Commonwealth Games when he picked up a silver medal.

Next month the England speedster will be hoping to go one better in Dubai, the same country where his 10 try tournament tally earned him the "Player of the Tournament" award on his sevens debut in 2005.

Varndell joins an experienced squad that also included IRB's all-time sevens highest points scorer Ben Gollings and 2006 Los Angeles winner Ollie Philips.

The final England 7s squad to Dubai will be announced next week.
