A 26-year-old driver of a newspaper delivery van died in a tragic road accident along the Queens Highway in Naboro early this morning.
While approaching the Naboro hill at about 3.30am, Police say the driver ran into the back of a 7 tonne truck.
He died at the scene however the 19-year-old passenger in the delivery van is safe.
Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the passenger has confirmed during their interview that the driver had fallen asleep while driving and by the time the 19 year old tried to wake him up, it was too late.
The road death toll now stands at 13 compared to 12 for the same period last year.
