Over 100 van drivers at Makoi 8 miles, Nasinu, have ceased their operation near the Hansons Supermarket from this morning, after claims that Land Transport Authority officials were illegally towing their vans away.
Fiji Van and Carrier Association Vice President, Rohit Prakash told Fijivillage that the matter has now "gone out of hand" as LTA is charging over $180 to release their vans after they are being towed away.
The van operators are expected to meet the Police officer in charge for Valelevu and Nasinu this afternoon.
