Sevens star Virimi Vakatawa will start on the wing in a new‑look French national 15s team to face Italy in their opening Six Nations game this Sunday.
Fijian‑born Vakatawa, who has not played 15‑men rugby since 2013, will make his first appearance in a side which has four uncapped players.
Speaking from France this morning, Vakatawa says hard work has paid off for him.
The 23‑year‑old from Naluwai in Naitasiri is also chasing a spot in the French Sevens team for Rio in August.
Vakatawa spent two years with Racing 92 before opting to join the Sevens circuit in 2013, where he has since made his name.
France will take on Italy in the opening match of the Six Nations competition at 2.25am Sunday.
