Virimi Vakatawa has returned to the French sevens squad after playing a starring role in the Six Nations 2016.
The 23‑year‑old appeared in the opening rounds of the series in Dubai and Cape Town before turning his attention to 15s.
Vakatawa made his series debut in the 2013‑14 season and will be appearing in his 14th tournament at the Hong Kong Sevens.
France is pooled with Samoa, New Zealand and Kenya in Pool A.
The Hong Kong 7s will be held next Friday to Sunday.
