National soccer striker Osea Vakatalesau has sustained serious injuries to his leg in Papua New Guinea and is expected to be out of soccer field for at least six months.

This will be big setback for the National Soccer team which will soon start preparations for the Pacific games.

Vakatalesau has injured his knee and has not featured for Hekari United in the last two O-league matches.

Nicknamed Ozzy, Vakatalesau participated in the 2007 Pacific Games where he was the tournament’s top goal-scorer with 10 goals.

His term with Hekari United finishes this Saturday when Hekari plays in its last match in the local competition.
