The vacant permanent secretary positions at the Agriculture Ministry, Lands Ministry and the Tourism, Trade and Commerce has been filled by the Public Service Commission.
Chairman for PSC, Rishi Ram has confirmed that Doctor Richard Beyer is now the permanent secretary for the Agriculture Ministry. Dr Beyer who joined the Ministry as a consultant in 1999 was acting on the position from January this year.
The Deputy Secretary for the Public Service, Maria Matavewa is now the permanent secretary of the Lands and Mineral Resources Ministry while the position of the PS at the Tourism, Trade and Commerce Ministry has been taken by Peter Wise replacing Banuve Kaumaitotoya who was demoted from the position last week.
