Christian Fijians are being urged to start reading and using the original Fijian translation of the bible.
Those were the sentiments of academic and historian Dr Andrew Thornley on the John Hunt 1847 Fijian Translation of the New Testament Books of Luke, John and Act which he helped edit.
Thornley said the hope is that all Fijians will start to use this version in the coming years.
Fijian editor Tauga Vulaono said at this point in time copies are limited however more will be done in the future.
