The Works Ministry is urging people living in rural areas to also use their contact help line if they have any complaints regarding how their workers are performing.

Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said rural depots have a supervisor keeping a tab on how projects are progressing and on a regular basis reports back to the Ministry.

However she adds there are some instances where problems will be encountered especially in outer islands, where work comes to a halt due to shipping problems.

Waqainabete adds this should not be an excuse for work to come to a complete halt as there is always some other things to do.
