Next year’s Uprising Fiji International 7s tournament will be held at Churchill Park again.

After a successful tournament over the weekend where local and overseas teams displayed top level rugby with thousands of fans crossing the gates, organizers want the tournament to remain in the west.

Organizer, Culden Kamea said there are a lot of positives in taking the tournament to Lautoka and this will continue.

Kamea added all the overseas teams that were part of the tournament are highly likely to return next year.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand 7s kicks off in Wellington next Friday with Fiji taking on Scotland at 1.50pm in its first pool match. Fiji then takes on Australia at 4.46pm and the last pool match is against Portugal at 8.34pm.
