Day 2 of the Uprising Internationals 7s is now underway with the Cup Quarter finals and other matches being expected to be a thrilling affair given the fine weather conditions currently being experienced at the TFL Stadium in Suva.

Looking at the first Cup quarter final at 11:28am, LICI Police meet defending champions FWCC Red Rock.

In one of the highlights of their game yesterday LICI Police beat Digicel Fiji Barbarians 24-19.

LICI Police has the likes of Sakenasa Aca, Etonia Naba, Peni Gaunimeke and Waisale Dau.

The Barbarians is led by Dale Tonawai, Setefano Cakau and Osea Kolinisau.

In the second Cup quarterfinal, LICI Army with the likes of Napolioni Naulia, Leone Nakarawa and Nikola Matawalu will meet the Emosi Vucago captained, FMF Fiji Warriors, alongside Jimilai Naikadawa and coached by Alifereti Dere.

In the third quarterfinal at 12:12pm the URF Wardens, coached by Timoci Wainiqolo and captained by Apisai Naiyabo will meet Aussie Thunderbolts that is being coached by current Australia 7s coach, Michael O’Connor.

The last Cup quarterfinal at 12:34pm will see Jim Beam Uprising meet the Digicel Fiji Barbarians, coached by Etuate Waqa.

Jim Beam Uprising, with most of their least well known profile players created upsets yesterday after they beat Samoa Invitational 19-7 and defending champions FWCC Red Rock 29-5.

Coach Renne Munch said their mental preparation proved to be the difference.
