Uprising 7s begins today
Organizers are confident the current weather will not deter fans from turning out in numbers to witness the overseas teams take on our local sides.
Some prominent names in the 7s world will showcase their talent at the two-day event including former New Zealand 7s rep Amasio Raoma, Samoan speedster Mikaele Pesamino, Simaima Mikaele, Pio Tuwai from the Samurai Barracudas, young Australian play maker Daniel Yakapo and our own Setefano Cakau from the Fiji Barbarians and Emosi Vucago of the FMF Fiji Warriors.
URF International technical adviser, Waisale Serevi is urging fans to come out and witness top class rugby.
The Uprising Fiji International 7s men’s competition mens starts at 10am at the TFL Stadium with the first game between the Digicel Fiji Barbarians and Jokhan Realtors Marist.
