After four years since Fiji's independent wireless internet service provider broke the monopoly in the country, Unwired Fiji today announced the launch of the new Motorola Wimax network in Suva.
Unwired's Executive Director William Parkinson said the new network will combine extreme speed and fourth generation internet services with the flexibility of mobility.
Parkinson added with this new platform Unwired Fiji will be able to deliver a level of internet service unmatched in Fiji.
DATA NETS General Manager Sundar Ramamurthy said users can access the network anywhere without an external modem.
This is the first phase which covers the major population areas of Suva including Suva, Nabua and Tamavua.
