The Ministry of Education has confirmed that all those teachers who are yet to register themselves in the Teacher Registration Board will not be allowed to enter the classroom today, the start of Term 3.
Education Minister Filipe Bole had earlier stated that the due date for teachers to register themselves was on Monday, August 31.
Bole added that only teachers in Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti who are finding transportation problems to come to Suva will be excused.
A team of Ministry of Education officials left Suva last week to get these island teachers registered.
The teachers have their meeting today, while the first day of the third term starts tomorrow.
