Former Netball Fiji president Adi Makelesi Lutuciri believes that it is "unprofessional" the way Netball Fiji officials terminated the services of national coach Melissa Walker and team manager Venina Galuinadi.
Speaking from Tokatoka Resort this morning, Lutuciri said that the officials should wait for the team to come back from South Africa and explain their stance against the Netball Council.
It is believed that the Netball Fiji Council made the decision at its emergency meeting last Saturday to terminate the contract of Melissa Walker and Under-21 team manager Selina Kuruleca following their decision to attend the Tri-Nations Series in South Africa.
Walker earlier this year signed a three year contract with Netball Fiji and was brought in to replace former Silver Fern Vilimaina Davu with the aim to take Fiji to the top four in the world.
Walker is in South Africa with the national netball team which has made it to the final of the Tri-Series and will play South Africa tomorrow morning.
