An unplanned power cut to the Wainibuku area has seen the Water Authority of Fiji calling on people to start storing water now if there is supply in their taps.
Areas affected includes Davuilevu Housing, Nakasi, Narere, Tovata, Tuirara, Upper Makoi, Qaranivalu Road, Kalabu village, Khalsa Road, Tacirua East, Upper Caubati, Cunningham, Khalsa Road, Dokanaisuva, Sakoca, Tacirua Heights,Upper Newtown and the whole Rewa Delta from Lomanikoro.
Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said that FEA engineers are working in the broken power line and it is not known at this stage when water supply will normailse.
Nagalu added that the unplanned power cut has seen low levels at their Waimanu Pumping station and this would mean water supply would be very low or at times no water in their taps.
