Some unknown sides have stamped their mark on the first day of the Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens after winning their first two games.

These teams include Gonetoga from Rewa, Waiqanake, Coast Epic Dolphins and West Field Saunaka which includes Pio Tuwai.

Tournament favorites like defending champs Army Green, Police, Freshet Navy, Red Rock One, Uprising and Vuda Blues have also recorded two wins each from their pool games.

Teams which have won their first two games have qualified for the elimination round.

Later this afternoon the Fiji Babarians, Wardens Gold, Samurai Barracudas and Ratu Filise will play their first games.
