The Confederation of Public Sector Unions is expected to meet with the Public Service Commission tomorrow, to discuss the matter of halting the appointment of all acting appointments in the public service.
PSC Chairman, Rishi Ram told Village News that the decision was made last week and the interim government will save about $50 million.
Fiji Teachers Union General Secretary, Agni Deo Singh is hopeful some resolution will be reached tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Rishi Ram maintains that this is part of the cost cutting measure for the interim government.
