Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions General Secretary, Attar Singh said the Unions that are on strike, are in it for the long term.
Singh added that it seems like those in power are hell bent on destroying the unions and that actions from the past few weeks have never been seen before in Fiji's Industrial Relations history.
Singh went on to say that the Public Employees Union and the Viti National Union of Taukei workers will continue to strike despite the Fijian Teachers Association strike being called off only to resume again once school commences in two weeks.
