The Fiji Teachers Union has also expressed similar sentiments as the Fijian Teachers Association saying that they also hope the upcoming Budget will not only meet their agreement with the Interim Government but that it will not leave room for any unions to have a reason to take any strike action against the Interim Government.
Agni Deo Singh, the general secretary for the Union also revealed that the unions have outstanding claims which they hope the Interim Administration will not overlook.
The Fijian Teachers Association general secretary the General Secretary, Maika Namudu earlier this week said the many unions are owed a lot not only by the current Interim Administration but have outstanding debts from past administrations.
Singh is also hopeful that the Interim Government meets with the various unions to looking into their demands before announcing the 2008 Budget.
