The Confederation of Public Sector Union has raised concern over the Public Service Commission's recent comments on the option of making Civil Servants redundant.
Spokesperson, Agni Deo Singh said Unions have not being consulted and it is not in the good faith of the PSC Chairman to make decisions on his own.
Singh adds if PSC goes ahead with its plan than they will have to meet and decide on their next course of action.
The Fijian Teachers Association General Secretary Maika Namudu said not only the public service but families at large will be affected with PSC's plan to reduce the number of public servants by 10 percent.
PSC Chairman, Rishi Ram has confirmed redundancies can take place next year if they fail to scrap two thousand positions from the civil service.
