Four university students were threatened this morning to hand in cash or they would be beaten up in their home.
The incident occurred at Reki Street in Raiwai early this morning where four masked men armed with cane knives and a crow bar entered the house being rented by the four female students and walked away with a laptop, camera and mobile phones.
Police said the four robbers pulled down the house door with a crow bar.
The girls who were sleeping in their room were awoken by the noise and upon switching on the lights, they were threatened to hand in cash or they will be beaten up.
The girls then handed some cash which they had.
Police also confirmed the robbers assaulted the neighbour after he came to the girls rescue.
Police are seeking public help in locating these four men.
