The Fiji Under 18 rugby team's four match tour of Australia started with a win yesterday when they defeated the New South Wales Combined Schools team 53-10.

The Samisoni Baikeitoga coached side ran in a total of eight tries in their opening match and only led 17-nil at halftime with a brace of tries to halfback Saula Colata.

The side lifted the tempo of the game in the second half, scoring six more tries which saw the final score read 53-10.

Manager Meli Tora said the boys did not have the size to match their opponents but they stuck to their game plan.
