The Vodafone Fiji under 17 women’s soccer side has qualified for the semifinals of the OFC Under 17 Women’s Championship in the Cook Islands.
This is after the Yogend Dutt coached side drew 2-all with Papua New Guinea.
Dutt has commended the team spirit as they were losing twice in the game but fought back to draw and book a semifinal spot with tournament heavyweight New Zealand.
This is the first time that Fiji has participated in this tournament.
They will play their semifinal against New Zealand this Friday.
