Police have received the post mortem report of the 17 year old boy who was allegedly beaten by his 45 year old uncle in Nadi yesterday afternoon.
Divisional Crime Officer Western, ASP Luke Rawalai confirms the boy died after an asthma attack.
However, Rawalai said they will keep the suspect in custody.
According to Police the Uncle allegedly kicked the boy till he fell to the ground and became unconscious.
The uncle alleges that the deceased stole vegetables from his farm and while enquiring about the theft he allegedly brutally assaulted him.
Meanwhile, a 19 year old girl remains admitted at the CWM hospital after she was allegedly raped by her boyfriend on Saturday afternoon in Walubay. Police say the girl is still recovering and they are yet to question the boyfriend.
