Unauthorised LPO Issued High Court Told
Inspector Isireli Tagicaki who had interview Josefa Tapele read out the interviewing statements this afternoon in which it was also revealed that some delivery of goods were also made to people without the authorization of necessary documents.
Tagicaki read out to the Court that there were no evidence that showed that items bought from Repina wholesalers were supplied to the people as there was no delivery notes attached.
To this, Tapele replied in his statement that they did not need the delivery notes as they relied on the store man to deliver the goods.
In addition to this it was also revealed that Tapele had allegedly authorised a cheque of $4000, a cheque of $5000 and a cheque of $1000 for the purchase of Urea from Repina wholesalers in 2001 for which a requisition form was not attached. When questioned by Inspector Tagicaki as to why the form was not attached, Tapele replied it was not important.
He later replied it was an oversight from his side. Inspector Cagicaki also read out in Court that Tapele was allegedly trying to mislead the interview by giving conflicting answers. The case continues tomorrow morning at 9.30am.
