Former Suva Mayor Chandu Umaria has been appointed as the Special Administrator for Suva and Lami.
Minister for Local Government Colonel Samuela Saumatua made the appointment after Marica Hallacy resigned as the Special administrator yesterday after serving in the post for just over 5 months.
Speaking to Fijivillage news, Umaria said it is great to be back and serve the city he holds close to his heart.
