The ultimatum given by the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group to the interim government may not seriously affect Team Fiji's participation at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India.
CMAG is threatening expulsion if the interim government fails to return to the path to democracy and to have elections by May this year.
FASANOC president Vidhya Lakhan said they are monitoring the situation at the moment and believes Team Fiji will be there competing in India next year.
Lakhan said politics should not be involved with sports and he's been talking with the Commonwealth Games Federation on the matter.
