USP has started constructing 120 student hostels to accommodate for new students enrolling for next year.
Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Chandra said there is a great demand for on campus accommodation.
He said talks for funding capital development are underway with the Asian development bank.
He added that the university is trying to expand their international student recruitment substantially as they will bring in additional resources and that it will also benefit the students in learning other cultures.
