The University of the South Pacific does not expect a drop in enrolment numbers due to competition from other universities in the country.
The Vice Chancellor Prof Rajesh Chandra said enrolment numbers will not be known unless it fully commences.
Chandra said they will be taking new programs and experience new ideas which they were not able to do in the past and become better than ever.
