More than one hundred members of the University of the South Pacific (USP) Staff Union this morning walked out of their jobs in protest of the suspension of one of their colleagues.

Union secretary Litiana Waqalevu said staff Simione Kurivoli was suspended by the USP management for misconduct of office, however, he should have been reinstated after 28 days following the USP policy.

She said it has now been 108 days and Kurivoli is still not at work which pushed the staff to walk out of their jobs.
