Digicel Fiji coach Iliesa Tanivula believes that the USA 7s could decide the race for the IRB series title for the top 4 teams in the points standing.
After winning the plate competition and now sitting on the 4th spot with 44 points, Fiji is 20 points away from the current leaders - England and New Zealand.
Tanivula said the 12-5 loss to Samoa in the quarter final in New Zealand was disappointing for him and the players, and they know that they cannot afford the same mistakes in Las Vegas.
The Fiji 7s team is in Pool C in the USA 7s with Canada, Scotland and Australia.
Fiji will play Canada in their opening pool game on Sunday at 7.52am.
