A US based oil and gas company has formed a joint venture with a local Fijian businessman Masi Kaumaitotoya known as Masi Corp Holdings Limited in an oil exploration joint venture in Fiji.
Lands and Natural Resources Minister Netani Sukainaivalu has confirmed the US based Savoy Energy Corporation wants a license, and talks are underway with various stakeholders regarding the granting of the licenses.
He said the exploration is expected to be done in the Bligh and Bau Waters.
