We will continue to provide assistance to Fiji as long as it is within the sanctions already in place.
US Department of State Head Glyn Davis revealed that as they have been dealing with Thailand, the same will also be done to Fiji.
However, when asked as to whether, Fiji could expect some assistance leading up to elections after announcement by the interim PM Commodore Frank Bainimarama this is what Davis had to say:
