The United States of America Blue Ridge Navy Band lit up Ratu Sukuna Park last night with some good old country and classic music that brought people from all walks of life dancing to their tune during their combined performances with the Fiji Navy Band.

Lieutenant Victor Murkowsk, the Public Affairs Officer assigned to the US Seventh Fleet, says it has been a joy to work with the Fiji Navy and perform on a beautiful stage like the newly upgraded Ratu Sukuna Park.

Lt. Murkowski says it is a historic day as the US Seventh Fleet Band was playing music alongside the Fiji Navy Band for the first time in a collaborative effort to strengthen the ties between these two nations.
People from all walks of life were seen dancing to every song in front of the live band.
United States of America Navy Vessel 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge LCC 19, the oldest operational Navy Vessel in operation with 1,000 Navy crew members on board, is in Suva as part of its community outreach program and scheduled port visit.
