Loftus St in Suva was today cordoned off to the public after the US Embassy received an envelope containing white powder.

Responding to queries from Fijivillage News, the US Embassy confirms receiving the envelope adding that they have sent the powder for tests and are to receive the results in four days time.

The Embassy is unable to divulge any other information at this point in time.

This follows similar incidents where envelopes containing white powder were sent to embassies across Europe.
