The Ambassador of the United States of America to Fiji, Clarence Steven McGann said the result of today's election will not change their commitment to Fiji and other Pacific Island Countries.
Speaking exclusively to Fijivillage at his residence today, McGann reaffirmed that the United States will continue to support Pacific Island countries in various sectors.
He added they will continue to promote issues such as human rights and democracy in the Pacific region.
Meanwhile, McGann said he's main work in the office will be to concentrate on environmental issues that affect Pacific Island Countries.
While Speaking at his residence this afternoon, McGann stressed that he will focus on issues such as economic growth, enhancing maritime security, environmental issues and promoting democracy.
McGann said environmental issues are more important issues than anything else in the Pacific Region.
